Installation

Vapor is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Download the latest version from our website.

System Requirements

• macOS 11+ (Big Sur or later)
• Windows 10/11
• Linux (Ubuntu 20.04+, Fedora 34+)

Certificate Setup

Vapor uses a local CA certificate to intercept HTTPS traffic. On first launch:

1. Vapor generates a unique CA certificate
2. You’ll be prompted to install it in your system trust store
3. Follow the platform-specific instructions

macOS

The certificate is installed in the System Keychain. You may need to enter your password.

Windows

The certificate is added to the Windows certificate store. Accept the UAC prompt.

Linux

Manual installation may be required. See certificate troubleshooting.

Verify Installation

1. Launch Vapor
2. Configure your browser to use localhost:8080 as the HTTP proxy
3. Visit any HTTPS website
4. Check that requests appear in the Proxy view
